Aggie Baseball - Scenes From Around Campus
FIRST YEAR SEMINARS
Is your student an inquisitive freshman whose first semester schedule includes only large classes? Then, she/he should talk to her/his academic advisor right away about the First Year Seminars! These courses are designed to help new students transition to college while learning about current topics through critical inquiry and dynamic classroom discussions. The First Year Seminar program is a pilot project offered by the Divisions of Academic Affairs and Student Affairs. Each Seminar is a 1 credit hour course that meets once/week. First Year Seminars are restricted to students who are first time in college in the Fall of 2008. For a listing of the courses offered go to http://upas.tamu.edu/pubs/Fall2008-First-Year-Seminars.pdf.
SAFETY CONCERNS
With the news of tragic events, such as at Virginia Tech and Northern Illinois University, two institutions not unlike Texas A&M University in several ways, a question many are caused to respond to is, "what if something like that were to happen here or to us?" Texas A&M University does have systems for responding in the
unlikely event that something similar would happen here. If you are interested in learning more, you might reference these web pages below:
